Is this you?
- Are you a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a passion and flair for product development?
- Do you want to use the newest technologies to push the limits for how deep technical solutions can be scaled and applied across products, trades, and industries?
- Do you want to solve challenging mechanical problems in close collaboration with highly skilled colleagues and leading companies in the industry?
- Do you want to be part of an ambitious team and an inclusive, creative engineering community?
- Do you want to use your mind and capabilities to seek and invent superior solutions to help the industry and the green environment?
Then the job as Senior Mechanical Engineer in Component 2.0 could be the one for you.
The role
Component 2.0 is looking for a mechanical engineer to join the team. You will apply your knowledge of mechanical engineering, product development, and detailed design to develop mechanical components and product solutions. The position is ideal for a skilled, motivated team member who is excited about creating the most innovative mechanical solutions.
Depth is where we have our success, and depth is what we keep. We are engineers who enjoy going all the way into the fundamental mechanics and physics — and the technology around us keeps widening the capabilities. Simulation, optimisation, AI-assisted design, and fast prototyping mean that depth is no longer something time forces us to cut back on, and the depth we put into one solution can be carried on to the next. That is why we are looking for someone who is open to impact and scalability: we solve the fundamental problem rather than the single case, so one well-solved component can lift many products, customers, and industries at once. It also means we keep moving the line for what we believe is possible, and we would like you to be curious enough to help move it.
You will work in a proactive, collaborative environment that focuses on solving and creating. Development is what fills the days here — the organisation around you is built to keep it that way, so your time goes into the engineering rather than into process. We will introduce you to the newest design techniques and tools. You will be challenging what is possible to achieve in products and equipment with the lever of component design. We guarantee that you will expand your network within the industry and work with the best within their field.
What the position needs
- M.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience with mechanical product development
- Strong CAD user (SolidWorks, Creo, NX or similar), and a real understanding of what the manufacturing process does to your geometry
- Proven ability to handle projects and work in a time-effective environment
- An eye for scale — for where depth in one solution can be carried on into the next
- Curiosity about the newest technologies, and a real appetite for using them to work with scalability and automation
- A dynamic, committed, and outgoing person who communicates and cooperates well
- An appreciation for working systematically, data-based, and targeted
- Proactive thinking — you would rather dig into a difficult problem than work around it
- Responsibility for actions, projects, and people
Most importantly — you are passionate about providing high quality and innovative solutions, and enthusiastic about the possibility of working together with skilled colleagues and customers to influence the future of mechanical design.
You may not tick every line above, and you do not have to. If you are strong on mechanics and production and want the rest, write anyway.
What Component 2.0 offers
- An opportunity to become part of a successful and enthusiastic development team in an informal and solution-oriented workplace
- A working day centred on development, with room to go as deep as the problem deserves
- Solutions with reach — component solutions that are adopted across many products, customers, and industries
- Competitive employment terms and benefits, good work-life balance, and influence on own tasks
- A great location in Hørsholm
- Experienced and skilled colleagues with highly diverse backgrounds
About Component 2.0
